About Lynn
Certified life coach. Charleston, SC. Working with women who are ready to stop deferring the lives they actually want.
I spent a long time being very good at my life and not particularly enjoying it. I was capable, dependable, organized, and quietly exhausted. I checked the boxes. I did the things. And underneath, I kept thinking joy was around the next corner — after this season, after this milestone, after I finally felt like I'd earned it.
What changed wasn't a circumstance. It was a decision — small, deliberate, and repeated every single day — to stop treating joy like a destination and start treating it like a practice. Imperfect. Ongoing. Available right now.
"Joy isn't a feeling you wait for. It's a decision you make before you feel like making it."
I help women do the same thing I did. Not by giving them a five-step plan or a personality quiz, but by sitting with them — really sitting with them — and asking the questions that actually move something. The questions most of us are too busy or too kind to ask ourselves.
My work blends coaching, somatic practices, and a relentless practicality. I am not particularly interested in your dreams in the abstract. I am very interested in what is actually possible for you on a Tuesday afternoon.
A Practice, Not a Pose
“The decision is small. The repetition is everything.”— Lynn
We have a complicated relationship with joy in this culture. We admire it in other people and treat it as vaguely suspicious in ourselves. Too much joy looks like you're not taking things seriously enough.
So we defer it. Quietly, reasonably, with very good justification. After this project. After this year. After I lose the weight, pay off the debt, figure out what I actually want.
And then one day you look up and realize you've been deferring for fifteen years.
The work I do is about deciding to stop. Not in a dramatic blow-up-your-life way, but in small, repeatable, surprisingly powerful ways. Joy as a daily decision. Joy as a muscle. Joy as something you build, on purpose, in the actual life you have.
It's quieter than the self-help shelf would have you believe. And it works.
